The 3AP platform is engineered as three mechanical frames — 3AP1, 3AP2, 3AP4 — that share interrupter design, drive, and controls, covering the full utility voltage span.

Pre-Insertion Resistors (PIR)
For line and shunt reactor switching applications, 3AP circuit breakers can be equipped with pre-insertion resistors (PIR) to limit switching overvoltages and inrush currents. Available for voltages 245 kV and above.
